Airport Pickup → Habarana (Elephant / Jeep Safari)
Ayubowan! Meet and assist at the airport by your private guide and transfer from airport to Habarana. Habarana is a central location for all the ancient cities and national parks. Afternoon at leisure, with the option to enjoy an elephant back safari through the Habarana jungle or an exciting Jeep safari in Minneriya National Park to witness wild elephants.
Polonnaruwa Medieval City & Sigiriya 5th-Century Rock Fortress
After breakfast, explore Polonnaruwa (11th–13th century AD capital). Visit the Sea of Parakrama, King’s Council Chamber, Royal Citadel, Kumara Pokuna bath, Watadage relic house, and the colossal stone carvings at Gal Vihara.
In the afternoon, climb the world-famous Sigiriya Lion Rock Fortress (5th-century AD citadel), marveling at the mirror wall, ancient frescoes of royal maidens, and UNESCO water gardens.
Anuradhapura Ancient City & 2,200-Year Sacred Bo Tree
After breakfast, full excursion to Anuradhapura, Sri Lanka’s most celebrated first ancient capital. Visit the giant dagobas: Ruwanweli Saya (2nd c. BC, 300 ft diameter), Jetavanarama (370 ft), and Thuparama (housing Buddha's collar-bone relic). Pay homage to the world’s oldest recorded historic tree, the 2,200-year-old Sri Maha Bodhi (Sacred Bo Tree).
Habarana → Dambulla Caves → Kandy Sacred Tooth Relic
After breakfast, transfer from Habarana to Kandy. En route visit Dambulla Cave Temple (1st century BC, 47ft reclining Buddha, ancient ceiling frescoes). Continue through Matale spice gardens.
Arrive in Kandy, the hill capital. Visit the Temple of the Sacred Tooth Relic (Dalada Maligawa) and attend an evening Kandyan cultural dance and fire-walking show.
Kandy → Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage
After breakfast, visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, home to the world’s largest captive elephant population (~75 elephants). Witness the joyful spectacle of the elephant herd bathing in the Maha Oya river and milk-feeding of orphaned calves.
Kandy → Nuwara Eliya (Tea Factory & Ramboda Falls)
Ascend into the misty central highlands towards Nuwara Eliya (6,200 ft elevation) via Ramboda Falls. Tour a working high-altitude tea plantation and factory, learning the art of manufacturing fine Ceylon tea. Discover colonial Little England, Gregory Lake, and the historic Hill Club.
Nuwara Eliya → Bentota Golden Beach Resort
After breakfast, scenic transfer descending from the tea-covered highlands to the tropical southern coastline of Bentota. Check into your beachfront resort and unwind by the warm Indian Ocean.

Full day at leisure in Bentota. Relax on the soft golden sands, swim in warm 27°C sea waters, enjoy water sports on the Bentota lagoon, visit a nearby turtle conservation hatchery, or indulge in an authentic Ayurvedic herbal massage.
